Outpatient Services

We offer various outpatient services at The Children’s Hospital, Mumbai from general pediatrics to a vast variety of pediatric subspecialties. Our team of Consultant Pediatricians is highly qualified with postgraduate training in excellent and renowned teaching medical colleges and hospitals across India.

General Pediatrics deals with common sickness in children which affect a vast majority of young children during their growing years. eg: Fever, Cough, cold, vomiting, loose motions etc.

The Consultant will check your child and advise the appropriate treatment or tests that need to be carried out. If required your child will be referred to a specialty clinic or ancillary child care.

Routine care and guidance will be given for vaccinations, weight and height monitoring, dietary advise, dental preventive care and health screening programmes.

Inpatient Services

Your pediatrician will advise admission of your child if he or she feels that your child requires intravenous fluids and IV medication so that your child recovers from his illness soon. The Inpatient services offer state-of-the-art care for children and adolescents who require admission for all aspects of Pediatric and surgical treatments. The child or adolescent is treated in a developmentally appropriate fashion with an emphasis on synthesiing medical and psychosocial needs. Since these children are not in the intensive care unit thus they are not critically ill children. The children’s parents are allowed to stay with them depending upon the ward in which the child is admitted in.

At The Children’s Hospital Mumbai each floor has round the clock nurses who are trained to deal with your precious babies. There is a strong PICU for back-up for any unexpected course of events in the in-patient admissions. Ours is one of the few hospitals in the city where a qualified pediatrician is available in the premises round the clock to attend to sick children and make crucial decisions in saving the child. This responsibility is shouldered by trainee doctors in most other places. We are aware that this time is a stressful experience for you and your family, but you can rest assured that our dedicated staff will handle everything with utmost care, compassion and empathy.
